A Social Networking Platform for Medical Professionals


A team pool of medical executives decided to build a social networking platform for the medical professionals. The idea needed to be mapped on to a web app. The client’s vision was to provide a platform that allows the users to build profiles, communicate with one another, and find jobs along with a forum for discussion and a news feed to showcase the research from Health Industry.

The business also wanted the users of the Web App to upload their personal files like resumes, pictures to their respective accounts.

This plan was shared with Soft Tech Group, Inc. and both parties mutually agreed a way forward to meet this challenge.

Soft Tech Group, Inc. created a set of features that allow users to build profiles and users can communicate with one another.


Strategy & Solution

Soft Tech Group, Inc. closely worked with the client business teams to define requirements, scope and design. We brought the idea to life and created a set of features to cater to all the requirements of the client.

Functional and configuration designs were created based on the client’s business requirements. Wireframes were shared with the client, upon feedback certain changes were incorporated to the wireframes and an intuitive and responsive UI was created which marked the UI/UX component completed. Upon the completion of front end and backend development work, the Web App went through vigorous QA & Testing phase. The test release was handed over to the client for the final feedback and launch.

MedRoom Web App is a platform for both the Medical professionals to find the right job and companies to find the right talent. It connects users to each other and to the companies. Users can build their profiles, upload their resumes & documents, make friends, view their profile & posts & interact with them through the chat, participate in the discussion forum, and search through & apply to jobs.

It was desired to integrate the API that interfaces with NIH website to bring NIH research to the Web App, so users get insights of what’s going on in the Health Industry.
